Between 2022 and 2024, the publication of the Gdańsk Journal of East Asian Studies has been financed from the Polish state budget as part of the programme entitled “Development of Academic Journals.” The total value of the financing comes to 64,240 PLN. The aim of the programme is to support Polish academic journals in implementing their development strategies to enhance publishing and editorial practices, to increase the journals’ influence on the development of science and scholarship, and to maintain the journals’ positions within the international academic community. One aim that has been achieved thanks to the Programme has been the translation and development of the webpage of the publisher of the Gdańsk Journal of East Asian Studies, the Centre for East Asian Studies at the University of Gdańsk, in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
